tional, Hungary’s IT market continued to grow in 2008 despite a slowdown over the previous 18 months owingto a difficult political and economic situation.…The market grew faster than expected in H108, despite the global slowdown. Lower prices were the mainreason, with the weak US dollar and stronger forint. Prices of notebooks have fallen by around 40%compared with two years ago. However, as the global credit crunch tightened, some vendors anticipated astagnating market, and there were reports that demand from the enterprise sector had slowed ascompanies cut expenditure. Despite this, BMI still expects solid growth in many IT market sectors over the next few years, with newpublic-sector IT initiatives, and demand particularly strong in the financial sector. The total size of the ITmarket is forecast by BMI to increase from an estimated US$2.91bn in 2008 to US$4.55bn in 2013, at acompound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.4%.

Üzleti elemzők a magyar IT szektort ígéretes piacnak gondolják, átlagosan évi 9,4%-os növekedéssel. Ezen belül a közszolgálati és a pénzügyi szektorok informatikai keresletének növekedését jósolják kiemelkedőnek. Valószínűleg a jó üzleti lehetőséget látnak abban, ha valamely terület még nem teljesen ellátott korszerű technológiákkal.

Nem vitatom, hogy az említett gazdasági szektorokban megvan az igény az IT eszközök és technikák alkalmazására, attól tartok azonban, hogy - a válságos helyzet miatt - nem lesz meg a pénzügyi fedezet az igények kielégítésére. Nem tudom, mikor készült a 9,4%-os növekedési becslés, vajon figyelembe vették-e a sajnálatosan általános recessziót?
